Peggy Jane Fuqua, age 92, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Peggy retired from International Paper with 26 years of service. She found her most joy in serving the Lord as secretary of Fish River Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastors Ron Jackson and Terry Blair for over 10 years. She also served faithfully on the church Benevolence Committee for many years helping those in need. She cherished her family greatly and was happily married to Franklin. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on December 9, 2020. Peggy was preceded in death by one son, Robert Woods. She is survived by her husband, Franklin Fuqua; sons, Frank Fuqua, Jr. (Debra) and Mark Fuqua (Sonya); grandchildren, Dawn Pace, Josh Woods, Tabitha Fuqua, Brittany Delaney, Ace Fuqua, Drew Fuqua; sister, Gloria Wright; Pam Henley (loved like a daughter) and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Fish River Baptist Church. Funeral service to begin at 3:00pm.
