Renewed recreation: Bay Minette's Sye Davis Park welcomes upgrades

Posted

The City of Bay Minette has recently enhanced the recreational offerings at Sye Davis Park with the installation of new playground equipment.

As part of the park's renovation efforts, youth engaged in the DNOW program at First Baptist Church of Bay Minette dedicated a Saturday to assist in spreading mulch around the equipment borders.

In addition to the playground enhancements, new picnic tables have been added, and plans are underway to resurface the half-court and install a new wooden swing. These improvements have been made possible through grants provided by the Gulf Coast Resource Conservation & Development Council and Plasmine Technology. Further enriching the park experience, the Kiwanis Club has sponsored the installation of a Free Little Library, a collaborative effort with the Bay Minette Public Library.

Once all projects are finalized, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to officially reopen the neighborhood park, situated at 393 Nesbit Street, Bay Minette.
