ROBERTSDALE — Robertsdale Seniors gathered together on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for just the second Birthday Bash of 2021 as activities get back into full swing at the George P. Thames Adult Activity Center in Robertsdale.

After holding the first Birthday Bash in more than a year back in June, larger activities were suspended in July, August and September before opening back up for daily, weekly and monthly activities. The event, celebrated the second Wednesday of every month, featured lunch, door prizes, special gifts for those celebrating birthdays and birthday cake.

On hand to celebrate their birthdays in October were Georgia Rudolph and Linda Dunaway, along with a special tribute to Joe Cutro, who would have celebrated his 96th birthday on Oct. 13, but passed away in May. Cutro’s wife Lillian was on hand to accept a birthday gift on his behalf.

Others celebrating birthday in October included David Kilcrease, Martha Grant, Ilah Barlow, Frances Frayme, Marsha Campbell, Colton Sinclair, Zachary Williams, Loretta Peckham, Randy Garner, Steve Grantham, Lena Willis, Karen Cluster, Sharon Ware, Rita Shores, Mary Ann Gould, Freddie Thomas, Sarah Duncan, Linda Morgan, Jean Sobel, Kyle Wallace, Phyllis Beam, Gladys LaBarre, Kathy Byrd, Edan Aldridge and Steve Metz.

Robertsdale Seniors age 50 and over are invited to gather for activities at the Center on East Chicago Street with special events planned at the PZK Hall on Alabama 104. Seniors will close out October by celebrating Halloween with a pot luck lunch beginning at noon Friday, Oct. 29 at the Center. Those attending are invited to come in costume.

A pair of special events are planned for November, a Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, Nov. 10 and a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 20.
