Wondering what's going on at Meyer Park? Don't worry, they're not taking the azaleas out.

According to what Gulf Shores officials told Gulf Coast Media on Friday, Meyer Park is undergoing necessary maintenance that includes trimming overgrown azalea bushes and redoing the irrigation system below the fields before planting new grass.

This 12-acre park is located at 400 E. 22nd Ave. in the Gulf Pines neighborhood and features four quadrants, including playground equipment, a baseball diamond, picnic shelters and tables, horseshoe pits and open fields for recreational activities. Many annual Gulf Shores events are held in this space, including Music at Meyer Park and Movies at Meyer Park.
