BAY MINETTE — Do you know the real story of how Bay Minette became the county seat?

Come learn more at the Story Telling and Reenactment, set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Baldwin County Courthouse gazebo in Bay Minette.

Storytellers Bob Wills and Cliff McCollum will get a little help from local re-enactors, including Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack Jr., County Commissioner James “Jeb” Ball, Bay Minette Police Chief Al Tolbert, and Jessie Peacock as they recount how Bay Minette residents traveled to the Eastern Shore to claim the county seat.

The festival is sponsored by the Baldwin County Archives & History Department. There will be a period attire contest, old fashioned dessert eating contest, face painting, period exhibitors, old timey games for kids, music and much more.
