Dogwood Trail Court scholarship recipients announced

The Eastern Shore Optimist Club is proud to announce the 2021 scholarship recipients. These scholarships are awarded to Eastern Shore high school seniors who have participated in or served on the Dogwood Trail Court. Each Court member receives a $1,250 cash scholarship to the college of her choice. Additionally, $500 cash scholarships are awarded to pageant participant winners of the Essay, Interview, Creative Introduction and Poise and Presence and Composure categories of the pageant.

The Dogwood Trail Court members receiving scholarships this year are:

2019 rt Members

• Sarah Chambliss – Fairhope High School

• Hannah Lee – Spanish Fort High School

• Hannah Richardson – Spanish Fort High School

2020 Court Members

• Hannah Beall – Fairhope High School

• Hali Everette – Fairhope High School

• Molly Walding – Fairhope High School

• Anna Claire Kinsey – Daphne High School

• Lila-Camille Knizley – Spanish Fort High School

The 2019 Presence and Composure scholarship, sponsored by Putting on the Ritz, was awarded to Lila-Camille Knizley from Spanish Fort High School.

The 2019 Interview scholarship, sponsored by OO LA LA, went to Hannah Richardson from Spanish Fort High School.

The 2020 Presence and Composure scholarship, sponsored by Putting on the Ritz and the Dogwood Trail Program was awarded to Anna Claire Kinsey from Daphne High School.

The 2020 Essay Category Winners are as follows:

* Second Place and a $250 cash scholarship sponsored by Kiwanis Club Daphne - Spanish Fort – Lila Camille Knizley of Spanish For High School

• Third Place and a $250 cash scholarship sponsored by The Dogwood Trail Program – Olivia Lee of Spanish Fort High School

“The Easter Shore Optimist Club is incredibly pleased to be able to provide scholarships to participants of the Dogwood Trail Scholarship Program, and we congratulate this year’s scholarship recipients,” JoAnn Broadus, Director said. A total of $12,000 was awarded in this year’s program.
