Posted

At the July monthly Board of Directors meeting of the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department (FMVFD), Craig Rohman was appointed as the new Fire Chief for FMVFD.

As a former battalion chief and an EMT in Mt. Zion, Rohman has trained and supervised fire fighters in all areas of fire fighting, emergency response and community safety.

Rohman comes to us with high accolades from other Fire Chiefs and fire fighters with whom he has worked.

“Craig Rohman was a valuable part of this organization and community - A well rounded and dedicated leader,” Fire Chief Mark Wright

Chief Rohman also received the Medal of Valor due to his efforts in rescuing victims during the 1996 tornado that devastated Old Harristown.

“I look forward to working with our firefighters and other local emergency service agencies,” Rohman said.  “I’m excited to be a part of this organization and I’m looking forward to building on what’s already been established here.  This is a strong community and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

We are pleased to have Craig Rohman as our new Fire Chief.  He brings experience, knowledge and professionalism to our fire department and to our community.

Please come in to meet our new Chief at the next board of directors meeting, Tuesday, August 10th, 6:00pm at Station 1.
