Gulf Shores Police are investigating the theft of a firearm that was unknowingly left in a go-kart at The Track in Gulf Shores May 18. Investigators have video surveillance footage of the incident and need your help identifying the group involved.

An individual unknowingly lost his concealed weapon while driving a go-kart. Video surveillance shows a young juvenile male as the next to ride in the go-kart. He sees the gun, picks it up and then sits down. The ride operator was not notified. Once the go-karts return, the male points out the firearm to a second juvenile who picks up the gun. Both young men are followed out by two adults. The video shows the firearm is presented to the adult male wearing a white shirt and yellow pants. The group then left The Track.

The surveillance video can be viewed in full on the Gulf Shores Police Department Facebook page. If you have any information on the identities of the individuals in question, please contact Det. Mike Hoguet at 251-968-9841.
