ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The 21st Annual PCA Championship Rodeo, presented by RAM, a benefit for the Robertsdale Rotary Club Foundation, proceeded as planned on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 amid concerns over the threat of Covid 19, also known as the Coronavirus.

Moderate crowds turned out for the rodeo on Friday night as more than 1,000 residents flocked to the Baldwin County Fairgrounds arena in Robertsdale for the event.

Entertainment for the event was provided by Tim “Wild Thang” Lepard, from Pontotoc, Mississippi, and his show, dubbed “Team Ghostriders.” The show features three Capuchin monkeys, Sam, Meglynn and Little E., who dress as cowboys in vests, chaps and cowboy hats, sit in saddles on border collies as they round up sheep in the arena.

Rodeo participants also once again got the opportunity to win a Henry Golden Boy Long Colt .45 rifle, courtesy of Campbell Hardware. Participants were also given the chance to enter a free drawing for a 2020 Ram truck from Rodeo series sponsor Ram Rodeo.

Local students were invited to participate in the annual coloring contest, presented by Bryant Bank. Two bicycles were given away each night at the rodeo, donated by Walmart.
