Baldwin County Sewer Service (BCSS) crews are working as quickly as possible to resolve issues with the sewer system that Hurricane Sally has caused. We are utilizing bypass pumps, back-up generators, pump trucks and all equipment and employees available to sustain the main sewer system throughout Baldwin County until permanent power is restored. Our current focus is to keep wastewater moving through the main system of pipes and lift stations to the wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), and service personnel will be dispatched to private property as soon as it is feasible.
BCSS asks that everyone limit water that you send down the drains as much as possible since power is out in many parts of the county where we have lift stations that pump wastewater to the WWTPs.
Visit this site for troubleshooting tips for your grinder and personal sewer system if power is restored at your property. Please call (251) 971-3022 to report sewer spills in your area or request service at your property, and someone will call you back as soon as they can. As a reminder, we are not certain how soon service personnel can offer repairs to private property yet. Thank you so much for your patience as we work to provide reliable sewer service as efficiently as possible during this time. We will keep our Facebook and Twitter sites updated with any news.
