Cello Salad Plays the Movies! at Foley Public Library

FOLEY - Cello Salad is a one-woman gig with cello as the main event. Della Grigsby, cellist, is no ordinary cellist. She has performed internationally - in the Kings Chamber at the Great Pyramid of Giza with ‘Interior Time’ (new age quartet) and at Festival Interceltique (Lorient, France) with ‘Astronique’, an astronaut Celtic band. Grigsby has also played in Loja, Ecuador with the Symphonica de Loja and taught at the Festival Internacional de Musica.

Grigsby is a fusion cellist and plays all genres – jazz, blues, country western, island funk, standards, and anything else that tickles her fancy. At this particular performance, she will be playing movie themes and show tunes, covering old and new. Be ready to tap your feet, smile lots, and dance if the spirit moves you!

Grigsby will be performing at the Foley Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6 – 7 p.m. Seating is limited in the upstairs meeting room and reservations are required. Please call 251-943-7665 to reserve a seat. For more information, please check the library’s website, www.foleylibrary.org or our Facebook page or Instagram.
