Continuing to improve the quality of life for elders, St. Teresa Of Calcutta Senior Ministry provides free non-medical supportive care to those 60+.

According to a brochure, the senior ministry aims to improve the quality of life for seniors in need by direct and frequent non-medical care. Promoting good mental and physical health, stable living and strong social ties Program Manager Sabrina Joshi said, “We really strive to get our members on a good routine that makes their day-to-day life easier,” From help with transportation to just having a chat, volunteers at the senior ministry are welcoming new members with open arms.

“There’s a variety of things our senior citizens need. Sometimes we just go check-in and other times we may bring them groceries or even play board games,” said caseworker Rhonda Tolbert.

Collaborating with other churches and organizations around Baldwin and Mobile County, the senior ministry is growing every day. Regardless of income, seniors that are 60+ and in need of non-medical care should reach out to Saint Teresa of Calcutta Senior Ministry of the Catholic Social Services.
