Mrs. McKeough’s kindergarten classroom at Stapleton School is collecting Play-Doh this month to donate to USA Children’s and Women’s hospital in Mobile.
Why September? September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Why Play-Doh? Children with cancer can only use Play-Doh once due to their low immune system while receiving chemo treatment. And children love to play with Play-Doh.
Caroline Berry was a young friend of Mrs. McKeough’s daughter who fought a tough fight with cancer but passed away in 2018. So, what better way to keep her memory alive!
The collections will be delivered on Oct. 1.
Donations can be dropped off at the school office.
