Pull out your calendar and start making your weekend plans. Gulf Coast Media has put together a list of our top five events happening in Baldwin County this weekend.

Kick off the weekend fun at The Hangout with your Swifties for an evening of lip sync battles, Taylor Swift Bingo and more. Saturday is packed with options for entertainment and shopping. Choose from the 2024 Cottontail Express in Silverhill, Spring Festival in the Forest in Fairhope, Spring Fling in Robertsdale or the Gulf Coast Diabetes Walk at OWA.

Editor's note: The Ballyhoo Festival, a highly anticipated fine art festival originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed to April 6-7 due to forecasts predicting rain and thunderstorms.

Taylor Swift Night at The Hangout

  • What: Gather the Swifties for a fun evening of all things Taylor Swift. The Hangout Gulf Shores is hosting Taylor Swift Night and has a full night of fun planned that includes lip sync battles, Taylor Swift Bingo, sing-alongs, photo ops, dance party, glitter bar, a make-your-own friendship bracelet station and more.
  • When: Friday, March 1, 5-9 p.m.
  • Where: The Hangout Gulf Shores, 101 E. Beach Blvd., Gulf Shores
  • Price: Free to attend

2024 Cottontail Express

  • What: Experience the 2024 Cottontail Express at Wales West RV Resort and Light Railway, featuring a ride on the authentic steam locomotive Dame Ann, Easter Bunny visits, egg hunts, crafts, refreshments, mini train rides, hay-less hayrides, playground access and bounce house fun. Additional activities include the potato cannon (with a slight fee), food available for purchase at the Café and Concessions Stand and a gift shop catering to train enthusiasts.   • When: Starting Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and continuing every Saturday and Sunday through March 30.
  • Where: Wales West RV Resort and Light Railway, 13670 Smiley St., Silverhill
  • Price: $25.00 per person, with children aged 2 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased onsite or online at waleswest.com.

Spring Festival in the Forest

  • What: Spend the day playing woodland games with your children at the fourth annual Spring Festival in the Forest. The event is a fundraiser for Nature Connect School. This year's event will feature woodland games, food trucks, face painting, petting zoo, live music and more. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.natureconnectalabama.com.
  • When: Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Where: 7159 McIntyre St., Fairhope
  • Price: Adult admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door

2024 Spring Fling

  • What: The 2024 Spring Fling is set to fill the Baldwin County Coliseum with over 100 crafters, bakers, boutiques and artists for shoppers to browse. Food vendors will be set up outside. This year's entry fee of $2 will benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
  • When: Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Where: Baldwin County Coliseum, 19455 Fairground Road, Robertsdale
  • Price: Entry fee is $2

Gulf Coast Diabetes Walk

  • What: Raise awareness of type 1 diabetes and raise money to send children with diabetes to Camp Seale Harris this Saturday in Downtown OWA. In addition to the Walk/Run, educational and supportive medical vendors will be present. For more information or to register for the event, visit www.visitowa.com.
