The scholarships, awarded in memory of former band member John Allen, aim to support high school seniors from Baldwin County pursuing continued musical involvement in college. The winners were announced at a concert in Daphne, following nominations by their band directors and participation in rehearsals and concerts with the Baldwin Pops Band.

Twenty-three students from various institutions, including Alabama School of Math and Science, Baldwin County High School, Bayshore Christian School, Daphne High School, Elberta High School, Fairhope High School, Robertsdale High School and Spanish Fort High School, participated in the 2024 scholarship competition.
