Parrot Heads bring Halloween costume contest to Orange Beach

Parrot Heads flooded Live Bait restaurant in Orange Beach on Saturday night in their spookiest get-ups for the Meeting of the Minds Parrot Head costume contest.

The top five finalists included Jessalyn as Ghostface, Gulf Shores resident; Candy Bishop as a witch, Pascagoula resident; Kevin Eshelman as a flamingo, Biloxi, Mississippi, resident; Tracy Rowe as a pirate, Foley resident; and Darrolyn Hunt as a captured mermaid, Biloxi, Mississippi resident. Winners and finalists were chosen through audience applause, and Hunt was named the winner of the contest.

The event also featured a raffle where attendees had the chance to win an autographed guitar from Kenny Chesney. Proceeds from the event went toward the Ocean Dreams Healing Center, Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Alabama Sheriff Boys Ranch, Lone Palm Foundation and Singing for Change Foundation.
