Gulf Coast Media readers were wowed by the 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Fairhope senior Preston Godfrey, who earned Seacrest Furniture Athlete of the Week honors.

In his final game as a Pirate, Godfrey’s long kickoff return for a touchdown kept the hosts in a back-and-forth battle early. Fairhope went on to earn a 24-14 win thanks to a crucial third quarter where Godfrey added 16 rushing yards and a 3-yard reception in addition to 114 total kickoff return yards on two opportunities.
