Michael Hennigan, M.D., a board-certified internal medicine physician and fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, has joined Coastal Medical Group (CMG). With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Hennigan specializes in the care of patients with diabetes, lipid disorders and various endocrine diseases such as thyroid disease and metabolic disorders.

A graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Hennigan earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Alabama. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Hennigan has actively contributed to healthcare quality improvement, serving on the boards for the Alabama and Florida Quality Assurance Foundation. He also held a role as a medical director for Novo Nordisk, a leading provider of diabetes medication.
