Poinsettia fundraiser to benefit Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation

Posted

The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation is celebrating the spirit of giving this holiday season with its annual poinsettia fundraiser.

This initiative offers locally grown poinsettia plants, the sales proceeds from which contribute to the Foundation's mission of supporting the social and emotional well-being of youth in Baldwin County.

"The fundraiser not only brightens homes with the beauty of poinsettias but also illuminates the developmental journey of the students in Baldwin County," said Allison Moore, executive director of JCMF.

JCMF is a nonprofit established in memory of Jennifer Claire Moore, a 16-year-old high school student who lost her life to suicide in 1997.

The funds raised through this event directly support programs such as the Peer Helpers PLUS program, which assists in providing the necessary resources and services to nurture the growth and development of our local youth. Through these initiatives, the foundation can reach out to more communities across Baldwin County, ensuring that every local youth has access to the support they need.

The poinsettias are available in three size options priced between $18 and $30. Grown at the Field in Bloom Nursery in Silverhill, these plants are a perfect addition to any holiday decoration. For orders of 15 or more plants, the Foundation offers home or business delivery between Dec. 5-8. All other orders can be picked up at Baldwin Mutual Insurance Company in Foley on Dec. 5.
