Recycle soda tabs for a good cause in Bay Minette

BAY MINETTE — A collection booth will be set up at Clean Out & Recycle Day on April 22 to accept soda tabs in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile.

The non-profit recycles the tabs to raise money to support its mission to help keep families close to their critically ill or injured child while they are seeking medical care. Ronald McDonald House provides families a place to "come home" that is just steps away from where the child is being treated.

The families are treated to a guestroom, meals and support of families going through similar crisis.

Clean Out & Recycle Day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon April 22 at Bay Minette City Hall.

In the past two years, this event has brought in more than 130 pounds of soda tabs for recycling. To learn more about Ronald McDonald House, and the service it provides to families, visit rmhcmobile.org/
