Gulf Coast Media readers were won over by the no-hitter thrown by Robertsdale’s Jackson Lyles and the junior took home Seacrest Furniture Athlete of the Week honors.

The 6-foot-3 righthander helped the Golden Bears beat Ariton 2-0 and improve to 7-6 on the season with 9 strikeouts against 3 walks on 88 pitches where 54 were strikes as Ethan Parnell and Brodie Phillips collected RBIs. Robertsdale was back in action this week as one of the Gulf Coast Classic tournament hosts.

Stay tuned for the next poll to open on Mondays at noon on gulfcoastmedia.com/athlete.
