A trio of St. Michael Cardinals signed their National Letters of Intent to play college sports during a ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, where two cemented volleyball commitments and another sealed a swimming pledge.
Ava Bowie and Campbell Bailey are set to play volleyball at the next level at Birmingham Southern and Pearl River, respectively, and Anastasia Coumanis will take to the pool and swim at Montevallo.
Bowie and Bailey helped the Cardinals finish third in Class 4A Area 1 and Coumanis was one of 10 St. Michael swimmers who represented the school at the state championship meet.
They joined four more Cardinal athletes who signed with different college teams during February’s signing period. Bryanna Marks-Craig penned her pledge to Webber volleyball, Lizzy Stroud cemented her commitment to Southern Union soccer, Tatum Hoffman sealed a soccer pledge to Birmingham Southern and Landry Mavar signed her commitment to cheer at UAB.
