The Bay Minette City Council recognized the Bay Minette 8U Tigers during its Dec. 4 meeting for winning the Baldwin County Youth Football Association’s Super Bowl Championship.

The team had a 7-1 record for the season where its only loss came against a tough Elberta team. This earned them the No. 2 seed and first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Tigers went on to defeat Gulf Shores by a score of 27-0 to earn a trip to the Super Bowl championship game. They then defeated Daphne Gold 19-13 to win the Super Bowl title.
