Orange Beach rocks City Hall Selfie Day

Did you notice a lot of city employees posting selfies last week on Facebook?

City Hall Selfie Day was created as an annual celebration  to encourage municipal workers and citizens to celebrate their communities by posting selfies in front of city hall.

While only a few Orange Beach employees took their selfie in front of city hall, most of the departments got in on the fun throughout the day Aug. 13. There was not a public vote for a winner, but the Wildlife Center interns and their animal pals were a clear favorite with over 30 likes.

The Orange Beach Public Library created bookface selfies which involves strategically lining up your face or another body part alongside a book cover to blend life and art. The staff posts a new bookface photo every Friday on their Facebook page.

You can find all of the Orange Beach City Hall selfies on the city’s Facebook page.
