Hurricane Sally made landfall Tuesday near Gulf Shores with winds gusting near 100 mph in many locations.
The storm caused extensive damage across Baldwin County, flooding roads, ripping trees from the ground and tearing roofs off of buildings. The Gulf State Park Pier was cut in half by the winds and waves as the storm moved ashore. More than 400,000 homes and businesses were left without power across three states.
