Baldwin Bone & Joint adds Chastang to orthopaedic hand specialist team

Baldwin Bone & Joint proudly announces the latest addition to its clinical team of Fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon, Dr. Allison Hunter, with the arrival of Austin Chastang, PA-C, according to a news release.

Chastang expressed enthusiasm about joining the specialized hand care team at Baldwin Bone & Joint, highlighting the importance of tailored care for the intricate hand and upper extremity.

“With Baldwin Bone & Joint’s hand specialist team, patients are truly getting the specific care they need for that very complex and dynamic part of the body,” Chastang said in the release. “I am really excited to get started with Dr. Allison Hunter’s team, both in the operating room and the clinic, treating patients from injury to full recovery to get them back in the game as soon as possible.

A Bay Minette native, Chastang brings a wealth of academic achievement to his role, having earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Mississippi College with Magna Cum Laude honors, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Faulkner University.

Hunter welcomed Chastang to the team, emphasizing his patient-centered approach.
