Baldwin County High School had two student-athletes take part in signing ceremonies Wednesday, April 19. Ericka Hall inked a scholarship to play basketball at Huntingdon College and Marion Baker signed on as the mascot for Faulkner University.

Baker has played for the Lady Tiger soccer program for four years and also participates in the band and theatre programs. Band Director Josh Howard shared that Baker is a talented student who serves as a role model for others due to her work ethic and positive can-do attitude.

Baker will be joining her sister, Morgan, who is part of the soccer team and cheer squad for the Faulkner Eagles. Another familiar face on campus will be Marion’s classmate Kailee Cox, who became the school’s first cross country signee when she cemented her pledge to Faulkner.

Baldwin County head basketball coach Brandon Hill praised Hall as a dedicated, hard-working and talented member of the Lady Tiger team. He cited her positive attitude and leadership skills as key attributes and said she was always willing to work hard to achieve her goals.

In her comments, Hall thanked all of her coaches and her teachers for helping her be prepared both athletically and academically for college. She’ll be joining the Huntingdon Hawk squad that competes in the Collegiate Conference of the South and earned a No. 6 seed in the postseason tournament before falling in the quarterfinals.
