Posted

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, officers with the Foley Police Department received a report from a concerned father who alleged a home health care nurse abused his 3-year-old child who suffers from cerebral palsy.

The father provided video of the alleged abuse which occurred at his residence in Foley.

After a follow up investigation by Foley detectives, Ashleigh Elizabeth Mancil, 40, of Daphne, was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated child abuse, which is a class B felony.

The child did not sustain any significant injuries. This incident was also reported to the Alabama Board of Nursing.

This is still an ongoing investigation, and video will not be released at this time.
