Pen Air Credit Union awarded six scholarships to local graduating high school seniors, and a Baldwin County senior in the Class of 2023 was among the recipients.

The Pen Air Scholarship Program was established to help Pen Air student members who have a passion for helping others pursue a post-secondary education toward an undergraduate or associate degree or trade certification. From its inception in 2010 through 2022, $171,500 in scholarships have been awarded to local graduating high school seniors.

"High school graduation is just the beginning for our student members. Pen Air is proud to provide a small piece of financial help so these students can explore and chase their dreams," said Casey Brueske, community education development specialist. "We can't wait to see what they do in the coming years."

2023 Pen Air Scholarship recipients:

— Ira, Washington High School (Escambia County)

— Calloway, Pensacola High School (Escambia County)

— Grayson, Pace High School (Santa Rosa County)

— Colton Sullivan, Elberta High School (Baldwin County)

— Olivia, Pace High School (Santa Rosa County)

— Grayson, Alethia Christian Academy (Escambia County)

Pen Air will pay up to $1,250 per semester (fall and spring semesters only) toward tuition, fees and supplies to attend school. The scholarship will equal the cost billed by the school for each semester or $1,250, whichever is less, for up to eight consecutive semesters.
