The Foley Police Department arrested a man after a stabbing incident was reported on Sunday evening.

On Sunday, March 24, around 10:50 p.m., Foley Police Department responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Park Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old James Ryan Vaughn, a Foley resident, with stab wounds. According to a witness at the scene, Vaughn's brother, 33-year-old Wesley Nathanael Nance, also of Foley, allegedly stabbed him during a confrontation before fleeing on foot.

Lifesaving efforts for Vaughn were taken at the scene before he was transported via ambulance to the emergency room at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, Vaughn succumbed to his injuries.

Wesley Nance was apprehended by responding officers in close proximity to the residence and taken into custody.

Following consultation with the District Attorney's Office, Nance is currently facing charges of manslaughter in connection to the incident.

The investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
