FOLEY — Music will ring out in Foley's Heritage Park each Wednesday in October when the city's popular Midday Melodies lunchtime entertainment event resumes.

The music will start at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. near the clock tower at Heritage Park. Midday Melodies is a safe, socially distanced event that will take place entirely outdoors in the park.

Participants are welcome to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs. Lunches are available from any of Foley's many nearby downtown restaurants, or or spectators can bring their own. Concessions are also available from the Masonic Lodge.

There is plenty of space in the park's seven acres to spread out.

On Oct. 4, This Side of 49 will start the series. Zack Chavers will be on stage Oct. 11. On Oct. 18, Jesse Taylor Perry will perform. The series will wrap up with Just Roger on Oct. 25.

Free parking is available around the perimeter of the park located at 104 N. McKenzie St., just across the pedestrian bridge on Alabama 59. Anyone wanting more information can visit visitfoley.org or call the city of Foley at (251) 943-1200.
