North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Annual Crawfish Cook-Off set for June 7 in Bay Minette


BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Join the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce at Blackburn Park in Downtown Bay Minette on Friday, June 7 for the annual Crawfish Cook-Off. This family friendly good time includes a crawfish cooking competition from a variety of teams, cold beer on tap from Fairhope Brewing Company, live Music by Ryan Balthrop, kids’ activities and more.

Team Registration is open. Grab your friends, co-workers and family to enter a team in this year’s cook-off. Teams compete for several awards including team spirit, people’s choice, spiciest crawfish and more.

New this year, the North Baldwin Chamber has teamed up with Alabama Coasting and the World Food Championships to host a Chef's Challenge during the event for the chance for one lucky chef to receive a Golden Ticket opportunity to compete in the World Food Championships in Dallas this October.

“We’re excited to raise the stakes in this year’s competition by bringing the World Food Championships to Bay Minette,” said David Calametti of Alabama Coasting. “The winning chef earns a spot on WFC Team Alabama and will represent our state in the largest food fight on the planet – competing against 450 other teams for over $350,000 in cash and prizes.”

Advance tickets are on sale now at Advance cost for adults is $20, and $25 day of. Children 10 and under are $5 with paid adult, under 5 gets in free. Tickets include all you can eat crawfish, sides and all non-alcoholic beverages. Additional tickets for beer will be sold at the gate.

“We have watched our Annual Crawfish Bash Event turn into a Crawfish Cook Off and could not be more excited about the future of the event,” said Ashley Jones Davis, Executive Director for the North Baldwin Chamber, “The Cook Off offers something for everyone and encourages friendly competition among teams – several of which are local businesses and organizations. This year we are even more excited to have teamed up with Alabama Coasting and Team Alabama to bring the World Food Championships to North Baldwin.”
