The 4th Annual Santa Pub Crawl, hosted by the Lower Alabama Young Professionals (LAYP) and sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach, raised a record $2,500 and two boxes of toys for South Baldwin County’s Toys for Tots chapter.

Over 200 attendees roamed among the seven Wharf bar and restaurant tenants offering special holiday-themed drink and food specials for the evening. To encourage spending at these venues, attendees were enticed with prizes for those who identified the location of elves hidden at each venue. As the evening concluded, a costume contest was held at The Sandshaker, with Allison Pryor winning and receiving a $100 gift certificate to Island Time Daiquiris. A check presentation was made to Toys for Tots the following day.

“I’m so humbled and incredibly proud of the support and turnout we had,” said Casey Buckner, Chairman of the LAYP group. “This was the best year yet, and we only look to grow from here.”

In the event's history, a total of $6,498 and seven boxes of toys have been raised. According to previous reporting from Gulf Coast Media, LAYP said prior to the event that the Santa Pub Crawl usually averages between 200 and 300 participants, and is open to all ages 21 and up.
