Swifties rejoice: "The Eras Tour" concert film offers big-screen experience at affordable prices

Are you one of the heartbroken or disappointed Taylor Swift fans who was unable to secure a ticket to Swift's "The Eras Tour"?

Swift's "The Eras Tour" has been one of the most sought-after concert tickets. The tour kicked off in March and has been No. 1 on the "Top 10 Tours of 2023" list by Pollstar, besting Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Harry Styles, Elton John and Ed Sheeran.

At the end of August, it was announced that Swift's "The Eras Tour" would come to AMC Theatres and other movie operators. "The Eras Tour" concert film will give fans the chance to experience the concert on the big screen with state-of-the-art sound systems at a bargain price. The film opens Friday, Oct. 13.

To ensure the theater event is accessible and affordable, tickets to the concert film are priced at $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children and seniors.

According to a press release from AMC Theatres, the concert film will play at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at every AMC theater location in the United States.

In true Swift form, even the movie has broken records. A press release from AMC Theatres dated Oct. 5, said "The Eras Tour" concert film has sold over $100 million in global advance ticket sales. The movie will debut at more than 8,500 theaters in 100 countries worldwide Friday, Oct. 13.

AMC said in the release that it took less than 24 hours for the Taylor Swift "The Eras Tour" concert film to shatter AMC's U.S. record for the highest ticket-sales revenue during a single day in AMC's 103-year history.

Locally, the opening day showing at AMC Classic Jubilee Square 12 in Daphne has sold out six showtimes. Tickets were still available for the 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows as of press time. The AMC Classic Wharf 15 is showing tickets available at all nine timeslots on opening day. Tickets are also available at Premiere Cinema 14 – Eastern Shore in Spanish Fort and CMX Pinnacle 14 in Gulf Shores.
