Texas Roadhouse restaurants, including Foley location, host fundraiser for American Tinnitus Association

In a gesture of support for the American Tinnitus Association (ATA), Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33 locations, including the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Foley, are organizing a fundraising event on Monday, Feb. 5, according to a news release.

This initiative aims to commemorate the late founder of the company, Kent Taylor, with 100% of all profits generated on Feb. 5 being donated to the ATA. Tinnitus, a condition affecting more than 26 million adults in the United States, will be the focal point of this charitable endeavor.

Tinnitus, often described as "ringing in the ears," encompasses various perceptions of sound such as buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing and clicking. The condition involves the perception of sound when no external noise is present.

In addition to the one-day restaurant fundraiser, Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33 have committed to donating ten percent of the online sales of all gift cards to the ATA through March 31.

Sara K. Downs, ATA interim executive director, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support.

“As we pursue our mission to promote relief, prevention and find cures for tinnitus, we are grateful for the ongoing support of Texas Roadhouse,” Downs said in the release.

Texas Roadhouse CEO and President Jerry Morgan shared his sentiments on the partnership between the restaurants and ATA.

“By supporting ATA, Texas Roadhouse and our family of employees honor the life and vision of our founder, Kent Taylor, who was passionate about helping others,” Morgan said in the release. “The Texas Roadhouse-ATA partnership is driven by the heartfelt desire to ensure that everyone is aware of tinnitus, its prevention and what can be done to manage it.”

The American Tinnitus Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families coping with tinnitus. The ATA funds research, advocates for improved care and provides reliable information to thousands daily. For those seeking information or help managing tinnitus, the ATA can be reached at (800) 634-8978 or visited at ata.org.

Texas Roadhouse, established by Kent Taylor in 1993, boasts over 600 locations in 49 states and 10 foreign countries. The Louisville-based company has expanded its family of brands, including Bubba’s 33 with over 40 locations in 15 states and Jaggers with multiple locations in Indiana, Kentucky, and soon to expand into North Carolina. Each brand features signature menu items and emphasizes made-from-scratch food. All three concepts have garnered national and local recognition. For additional information, visit texasroadhouse.com.
