The Red Clay Strays, D Play and Doctor Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster headline this year’s entertainment lineup for the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival that will fire up at OWA Parks & Resort in May.

The 19^th-annual event in Foley will feature music, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities, plenty of food and beverage options and hot air balloon glows and tether rides, according to a news release from the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

The lineup for the weekend:

Thursday, May 4

• 5-10 p.m. – Festival open to the public
• 5-7 p.m. – Funky Lampshades
• 7-9 p.m. – Doctor Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster
• 7:30 p.m. – Balloon Glow (weather permitting)

Friday, May 5

• 11 a.m.-10 p.m. – Festival open to the public
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m. – Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo at the Meet & Greet Tent
• 2-4 p.m. – Interactive Hot Air Balloon Display (weather permitting)
• 2:30-4:30 p.m. – Hot Air Balloon Pilots at Meet & Greet Tent
• 4-6 p.m. – Grits & Greens
• 6-8 p.m. – Ryan Dyer Band
• 7:30 p.m. – Tethered Rides and Balloon Glow (weather permitting)
• 8-10 p.m. – D Play

Saturday, May 6

• 11 a.m.-10 p.m. – Festival open to the public
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m. – Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo at Meet & Greet Tent
• 11:30 a.m.-noon – National Anthem by Coastal Voices of Praise
• Noon-12:30 p.m. – PCI Pow Wow Club Tribal Performance
• 1-2:30 p.m. – Jacob Brock
• 2-4 p.m. – Interactive Hot Air Balloon Display (weather permitting)
• 2:30-4:30 p.m. – Hot Air Balloon Pilots at Meet & Greet Tent
• 2:30-4:30 p.m. – Bangarang Peter
• 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Ben Loftin & The Family
• 7:30 p.m. – Tethered Rides and Balloon Glow (weather permitting)

The event is free all weekend, with food, drinks and vendor items available for purchase. Hot air balloons are extremely weather dependent, and flight/glow times may be delayed. Balloons are only visible at dusk and dawn, weather permitting.

A free off-site shuttle location will be available at Liberty Church from 2 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
