Can I see a show of hands for all those who love a four-day workweek?

The workweek may be short, but the lineup of fun weekend happenings is long. If you are up for an adrenaline-packed night on the beach, the annual Bulls on the Beach at the Flora-Bama is for you. Lego lovers will have a building good time in Mobile at the Brick Convention. If a little adventure sounds fun, then head over to Biloxi for the Seafood Festival and see how it compares to our local festivals. That is just a sampling of the events happening this weekend.

Bulls on the Beach

  • What: There is nothing like the excitement of the rodeo. Grab your family or friends and watch professional bull riders from across the country attempt to beat the clock on some of the biggest bulls around. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.florabama.com.
  • When: Thursday, Sept. 7, through Saturday, Sept. 9, gates open at 6 p.m.

Brick Convention

  • What: Lego fans are in for a treat as the Brick Convention arrives in Mobile. The event gives Lego fans a chance to meet like-minded fans, participate in creative hands-on activities, meet Lego masters, see Lego art and purchase hard-to-find bricks.   • When: Saturday, Sept. 9, and Sunday, Sept. 10, session times vary

Black Tie Bingo Fundraising Gala

  • What: Dust off your cocktail attire, grab your lucky bingo dauber and get ready for a fun evening all in the name of charity. The fifth-annual Black Tie Bingo Fundraising Gala raises funds for the Berry Strong Foundation, which helps children with cancer. The evening includes live music, hor d'oeurves, beer and wine. Biloxi Seafood Festival

  • What: If you are looking for a fun event off your normal well-worn path, look to Biloxi this weekend. The 42nd-annual Biloxi Seafood Festival celebrates the seafood history of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Arrive hungry and sample seafood, enjoy live entertainment, and shop local vendors. Turtle Fest

  • What: Sea turtles are one of the many marine animals that live in our Gulf Coast waters and trust our beaches with their eggs. Learn more about the amazing sea turtle from the experts at Turtle Fest. The annual event pairs fun and educational activities with naturalists at the Gulf State Park Pier.
