You are never too old to learn something new or expand your world, and The Hope Farm has a full slate of August events to expand your knowledge and palate.
The Barn at The Hope Farm transforms into a beautiful classroom each month for the monthly Art of Mixology class and wine and beer dinners. Executive Chef Adam Stephens, General Manager and Wine Director Will Jones and other key staff team up with spirit, wine and beer producers to curate a one-of-a-kind experience.
August's Art of Mixology class will have you building a backyard Tiki bar to display your newfound mixology skills. The Tiki, Tiki and More Tiki Mixology Class, curated by Raleigh Swan and Lane Ezell will guide the class through the wonderfully eccentric world of tiki cocktails. Enjoy learning about drinks like the mai tai, pearl diver and cobra's fang while sampling small plates curated by Executive Chef Adam Stephens.
The August Art of Mixology class is Thursday, Aug. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $140.
The Sunday Supper Series embodies The Hope Farm's original goal of creating a comfortable gathering place. The Hope Farm team creates an elevated version of nostalgic home-cooked meals. August's menu has a "Tex-Mex" themed menu featuring enchiladas, fajitas, chips and housemade salsas, taquitos, elote and churros.
August Sunday Supper is Sunday, Aug. 20, From 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person (including tax and gratuity).
Experience The Hope Farm's award-winning wine program that was names to "Wine Spectator's" "10 Latest & Greatest Wine Restaurants" list. During this exclusive wine event, guests are invited on a culinary exploration across France. Diners will experience four wines paired with small plates created to complement each pairing.
The Grapes of France event is Saturday, Aug. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $50.
The Hope Farm is paring up with Mobile's Braided River Brewing Company for a collaborative beer dinner. Diners will have the opportunity to taste five different beers infused with herbs and mushrooms grown on The Hope Farm property and paired with small plates curated by Executive Chef Adam Stephens.
The August Beer Dinner is Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Each Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests are welcome to the Back 40 Garden Patio where they can purchase freshly baked bread, starter plants, homemade preserves, hot sauces and syrups.
