3rd Annual Strawberry Festival 5K and Fun Run, a Little Red Hen Production sponsored by the Loxley Church, will kick things off early on Saturday, April 13. Packet pick-up and race day registration will be at Loxley Municipal Park from 6 to 7:15 a.m. Registration on race day will be $25 for adults, $20 for youth. The 5K race begins at 7:30 a.m., Fun Run at 8:15 a.m. An awards presentation will follow immediately after the fun run.
The Annual Strawberry Festival Car Show will be held with opportunities to win prizes both Saturday and Sunday. Registration each day will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with trophy presentations at 3 p.m. Registration on the day of the event is $25. Cars will be lined up in the parking lot and on the grounds surrounding the Loxley Municipal Park ballfields on the north side of the park.

What: 32nd Annual Baldwin County Strawberry Festival When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14 Where: Loxley Municipal Park, 4198 Municipal Park Drive (Alabama 59). Details: The annual festival, held every year since 1987, raises more than $40,000 per year, split between the Loxley Elementary School PTO and ARC of Baldwin County. This year’s festival is presented by Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, Atmore and Baldwin EMC. What to expect: The festival features 165 arts and crafts exhibitors, a dozen different food vendors, including the festival’s World-Famous Strawberry Shortcake, served by volunteers with the Loxley Elementary PTO; a carnival with children’s game, antique auto show, exhibits and live music. Parking: Parking is free on the festival grounds or free shuttles will be provided from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday by the Baldwin Regional Area Transit System (BRATS). Shuttles run continuously throughout the festival from the Baldwin County Board of Education building, located at 1901 B Ave., Loxley. More information: Visit baldwincountystrawberryfestival.org.
