Big Mike’s Steakhouse in Orange Beach was having a busy Sunday evening service May 24 when the building caught fire and had to be evacuated.

The fire started in the kitchen but a quick response from the Orange Beach Fire Department quickly got the fire extinguished. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Big Mike’s Steakhouse will be making needed repairs and hope to open in a month or so.

Orange Beach Fire Department had a very busy Memorial Day Weekend. They responded to 16 emergencies before Big Mike’s structure fire and had six more after. In total, the department had 46 calls including three needing life flight transport.
