Carol Janet Head, 86, a native of Crossroads, Alabama and resident of Stapleton, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Carol, born Aug. 30, 1932, was a homemaker, who loved taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charlie S. Head; son, Carroll Milton Head; father, John C. Broughton; mother, Edna L. Broughton; sister, Lois Horn; and two brothers, Daniel and John Broughton.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Cathy Head; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Head; grandchildren, Charles Head, Milton (Donna) Head, Jarrod (Rachael) Hawkshead and Charles Hawkshead; great-grandchildren, Nathan Burroughs Head, Charlie Hawkshead, Raegan Hawkshead and Gunner Hawkshead; siblings, Margaret Boutwell and Mitchell Broughton; as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Stapleton United Methodist Church, 35440 Harriot Avenue, Stapleton, AL, at 11:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation before the service at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.
