James L. “Jimmy” Driver

James L. "Jimmy" Driver, age 81, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Loxley, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

Mr. Driver served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Loxley Church of God.

Mr. Driver was a wonderful husband and father. He never met a stranger - always lending a hand to others. Mr. Driver was a team leader for the Mentors of the Baldwin County Veterans Court.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Littles and Lynn S. Driver; and parents, Horace and Hermione Grant Driver and Capt. J.A. Duncan and Elna Duncan; and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Ann Driver, Loxley, Alabama; two daughters, Lana (Raul) Pulido of Loxley, Alabama, Dr. Luci Driver-Parmer (Bryan Parmer) of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Horace Lloyd Driver of Loxley, Alabama; two sisters, Elizabeth Forbis of Nashville, Tennessee, Sandra Duncan Spicer of Robertsdale, Alabama; two brothers, Johnny Duncan of Bradenton, Florida, Lloyd Duncan of Enterprise, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Reid, A.J., J.D., Justice, Samantha, Raul and Sabrina.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. from the Loxley Church of God, with Rev. Wade Brian and Rev. Ted Bridges officiating.

A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Graveside service was at 12:30 p.m. at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Walnut Hill, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mountain Movers at Loxley Church of God, P.O. Box 499, Loxley, AL 36551.

Pallbearers included: Tim Gibbs, Vic Eicher, Jeff Smith, Julio Atenza, Kevin Faircloth, Darrell Driskell.

Honorary pallbearers were the Mentors of the Baldwin County Veterans Court and J.W. Middleton, Jim Sloop, Jimmy Hovark, Rich Miller, Joel Norberg, Charles Driver, Jimmy Mason, Sam Elder and Wallace Eicker.
