Marcia Ann Newton, age 76, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016.

Ms. Newton grew up in Miami Springs, Florida, raised her children in Hollywood, Florida, lived in Maryland, Oklahoma and Louisiana before retiring to Daphne, Alabama.

Marcia attended Palm Beach Junior College. She worked as a flight attendant for more than 28 years for National, Pan Am and Piedmont airlines before flying with two NBA teams, the Washington Wizards and the New Orleans Hornets.

She was an avid tennis player, a member and organizer of PALS, a member of the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Newton; and her brother, Geoffery Paul "Nicky" Newton.

She is survived by her son, Thomas N. (Christine) Farrey of Burlington, Connecticut; her daughter, Lesley (Chris) Pacey of Point Clear, Alabama; six grandchildren, Cole, Anna and Kellen Farrey, Emma, Sarah and Thomas Pacey; two sisters, Jane (Larry) Saladin and Mary (Bill) Boney; two brothers, Paul T. Newton and Peter Newton; nieces, nephews, countless other relatives and friends.

A memorial mass will be held from St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at noon.

The family will receive friends in the St. Lawrence Room, from 11 a.m. until noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 S.
