Thomas Earl Norwood, a man of many trades, passed away on Dec. 21, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 76. Born on Oct. 26, 1947, in Mississippi, Thomas was the beloved son of Leslie Earl Norwood and Margaret Otheal Weathers.
Thomas's passion for real estate led him to establish Tom Norwood Realty, which he owned and operated for over 40 years. Through his dedication and expertise, he provided countless individuals and families with their dream homes. In addition to his career in real estate, Thomas was also a licensed insurance adjuster. Educated at Mississippi State University, Thomas laid the foundation for a successful future. His determination and commitment to continuously learn allowed him to excel in his chosen fields.
A genuine and kind-hearted individual, Thomas will always be remembered for his warm personality and unwavering love for his family and friends. He made lasting connections with everyone he met and touched the lives of many with his generous spirit.
Thomas leaves behind a loving family who will cherish their memories of him forever. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy Pugh Norwood, of Foley, Alabama. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. He is also survived by his mother, whom he loved very much, Margaret Otheal Weathers.
Thomas's children meant the world to him. He is survived by his son, Chris (Susie) Norwood, of Oxford, Mississippi; son, Hank (Christie) Norwood, of Starkville, Mississippi; daughter, Gayla (Mac) Davis, of Kingswood, Texas; daughter, Brandy (Chris) Corbett; daughter, Page (Rudy) Cruz, of Fairhope, Alabama; son, Troy (Suzanne) White, of Prosper, Texas; son, Tucker (Amanda) Moore, of Silverhill, Alabama. Their love and support were a constant source of joy for Thomas throughout his life.
Thomas treasured each moment spent with his 11 grandchildren: Madison Cruz, Logan Cruz, Andrew Martin, Lucas White, Ava White, Sloane White, Major Moore, Christopher Corbett, Jimbo Corbett, Alex Wood, Parker Norwood, Grey Davis, and Holland Davis. He cherished the unique bond he shared with each of them and was immensely proud of their accomplishments.
In addition to his grandchildren, Thomas had the joy of being a great-grandfather. Bentley Martin, Willa Ford, Adella Baker, and Gabe Wood brought him immeasurable happiness. 
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation service to pay their respects to Thomas Earl Norwood on Jan. 20, 2024. The visitation will take place at First Baptist Church located at 221 North Alston Street in Foley, AL. from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will immediately follow the visitation at First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. This ceremony will be an opportunity for loved ones to come together and reflect on the beautiful life Thomas lived.
Thomas's impact on his community and those around him cannot be overstated. His memory will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thomas Earl Norwood may no longer be with us in person, but his spirit will live on through the memories we hold dear. May he rest in eternal peace.
