Wilbur E. Havel Sr., age 93, a lifelong resident of Silverhill, Alabama, passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at a local hospital.
He was a member of Fairhope Christian Church, deacon emeritus and a WWII army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Havel is survived by his wife, Addie Louise Havel of Silverhill, Alabama; one son, Wilbur Emanuel Havel Jr. of Dallas, Texas; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Havel of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Rose Marie Giddens; son-in-law, Robert Giddens; granddaughter, Ashley Giddens; grandson, Jake Giddens, all of Silverhill, Alabama; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, from 5 until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at Fairhope Christian Church at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Silverhill Cemetery.
